Room

From across the room
I see you.
I hope you see me
from across the room.
Yet, I never look you in the eye,
For fear you might (see me).

From across the room
I love you.
Or, perhaps,
not love but long
to be closer than
across the room.

If no one moves…
is it Love?
Or, perhaps Love is
But Fear is too.
So, two loves stand,
across the room.

But Love is
not satisfied
to love
from across the room.
Love w a l k s the distance
to be with you.

Across the room,
You move.
A cross,
You came,
the Room,

My Heart.
